Day 25 | Mavka

Thursday, October 26, 2017

Working on drawing a Mavka for day 25 of #drawlloween2017

The Mavka, from slavic folklore, is a beautiful, usually naked, long haired, female spirit. They have no reflection in water, no shadows, and no skin on their back, so their insides are visible if their long hair falls out of the way (which they keep long specifically to hide their back.)
They are said to lure young men into the woods, seduce them, and then chop off their heads.

Anyway, calling it a night on this and will revisit it in the future.
